What is the main function of a drip rack?

A drip rack's primary function is to collect and drain water that drips from wet items in daily life, keeping the surrounding area dry and clean.

In the kitchen, a drip rack is often used to store freshly washed dishes, such as bowls, plates, and cups. These dishes often retain residual moisture. Placing them in a drip rack allows the water to gradually drip down and collect at the bottom, preventing it from directly onto the countertop, thereby preventing moisture, mold, and bacterial growth. Furthermore, the design of a drip rack typically allows the dishes to maintain a certain angle, allowing water to drain smoothly and drain more quickly, making them easier to store and use again.

A drip rack also plays a vital role in the bathroom. For example, after a shower, towels will be damp. If left lying on the floor or hung in a damp area, they can easily breed bacteria and become difficult to dry. Placing towels in a drip rack allows the water to be collected and drained promptly, keeping them dry, extending their lifespan, and improving the hygiene of the bathroom.
