Working Principle of Water Control Valve
 

Mixing valve (two inlets → one outlet)

Two supply streams enter ports A and C and are blended to produce a controlled temperature/flow at the outlet B.

As the plug moves, it proportionally opens one inlet while closing the other, varying the ratio of the two flows.

Common in temperature control: hot and cold streams mixed to a setpoint.

Diverting (one inlet → two outlets)

A single supply at port A is distributed between outlets B and C.

Movement directs more flow to one outlet while reducing flow to the other.
